Paul Klaassen Joins NIC Board of Directors

Annapolis, Md. – Paul Klaassen has joined the board of directors for the National Investment Center
for the Seniors Housing & Care Industry (NIC), as announced today by the nonprofit organization.
Mr. Klaassen is chairman and chief executive officer of Sunrise Senior Living, a company that he and
his wife, Terry, started in 1981. Today, Sunrise is recognized as being one of the premier providers
of senior living services throughout the world, with more than 440 communities in the United States,
Canada, the United Kingdom and Germany. The organization has a combined resident capacity of 52,000
and employs more than 38,000.
